The day/night function in bronze

The use of bronze as a case material is a point of interest for many watch lovers. Patinations ranging from black to bright green can be found in great variety on the internet.

The goal for this wonderful day/night was far more ambitious: only two visible materials were to be used for this astronomical watch: functional titanium for the case, and the ancient material bronze for all of the functional parts. That was the wish of our client. And further: a blue-gray patination on the reddish metal. Once again, a challenge like none we have ever faced – and which therefore caused us to embark on a whole series of new trials until we arrived at this fantastic result.
