Red gold – rare!

BEA_0620

Not just rare and handmade  –  it comes to us in Lucerne from Paul Gerber’s workshop.

The anno cinquanta with annual calendar function is the first watch we ever produced: it’s been an archaic beauty since 2008.

The price of gold has almost doubled since that time (another reason why we’ve been using other materials such as titanium and brass for our new tinta concept). This anno cinquanta’s heat-patinated solid gold dial, gold hands and case, milled from a block of red gold, are one-of-a-kind.

The half-moon heat-patinated gold rotor allows a partial view of Paul Gerber’s classic proprietary movement. Polished screwheads, a work finish that’s unadorned yet supremely elegant, a power reserve in excess of 100 hours.

We at ochs und junior will have just a few more anno cinquanta available in white and red gold. This particular watch is one of them…
