Full moon in silver

The next full moon falls on 29 October. In the run-up to it, we’d like to show you the first ochs und junior with a high-gloss black dial. The case of this selene tinta is in silver, as is the functional “Ludwig” pin buckle (this requires no strap-retaining loop, as the ‘free’ strap passes through the buckle and is stored underneath the other ‘buckle’ strap). The owner of this watch decided he wanted double baton indices at 12 o’clock instead of the standard dot. The luminous moon rotates on a silver-plated brass disk.

The hour and minute hands are also coated in Super-LumiNova, while the second hand is black to keep it visually in the background. You don’t see it at first glance, which is exactly what the owner wanted: he only sees it when he wants to.

This ochs und junior will soon be on show on our new website – in a gallery of watches we’re proud of. Attentive bloggers will have noticed that the launch of the new site is taking a little longer than planned  –  it’ll be worth the wait, though!
