The settimana next, from ochs und junior –
It has been a very busy few months for us at ochs und junior, but we wanted to present one last surprise to celebrate our 15th anniversary! The settimana next is the latest ochs und junior to be designed by one of the “next ochs”, one of the future owners of ochs und junior.
The settimana’s original design was inspired by one of Ludwig Oechslin’s children, Cajetana. And fifteen years later, it seems appropriate that the final version of this watch to be released in this special year should be designed by the “junior” who inspired its creation! Cajetana Ameriga Oechslin is the youngest of the “juniors”. She completed her training as a goldsmith at the La Chaux-de-Fonds School of Art this past summer (winning a prize for a special project), and is now studying textile design at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Art. She has even found the time to launch and run a jewelry company – bovi & co (instagram: bovi_and_co).
The settimana next is housed in a grade 5 titanium case.
The movement is Sellita’s SW 200-1, and the weekday module is Ludwig Oechslin’s own design. The color code and aesthetics are all straight from Cajetana Oechslin’s sketchbook. The textile strap and leather pouch are both courtesy of our good friend, Sabina Brägger.
This is a non-customizable watch, available in either 36mm or 40 mm. Priced at CHF 2’500 — incl. 7.7% VAT. CHF 2’300 — Export price.
