Orange?

Our dot-based calendar displays feature the color orange. How did we settle on orange? Two years ago as we began working on the settimana junior concept, we pondered what would be the best color for our kid’s watch. We asked a number of children for their three favorite colors. They said dark blue, light blue, red, pink, yellow, green  –  and one color almost all of them liked: orange!

So it was children who had the final say! The orange of the dots was further reinforced by the orange-colored natural rubber strap, and the whole concept was brought to life by our comic strip illustrator Sjoerd van Rooijen with his stories about little orange dots and marbles.

Here is a picture of the first anno cinquanta sporting luminescent dots and hands.

The orange-coloured luminescent material is hand-brushed onto the white gold hands. Two ‘ochs-ficionados’ have ordered anno cinquantas with white luminescence. Because every ochs und junior is hand-built, we can accommodate a certain degree of personalisation…
