LUCERNE, Switzerland—Today, ochs und junior announced an even more advanced online customizer:

Perpetual calendar customization. Nearly limitless unique combinations of Dr. Ludwig Oechslin’s radical perpetual are possible.

Designed for mobile. The tool is optimized for phones, tablets and desktops, and mockups always appear in Retina-resolution.

Deep customization. ochs und junior’s customizer features branching logic, which enables an option to lead to a unique, related set of options. This gives ochs und junior’s customizer increased dynamic range.

The new customizer is available for all of Ludwig Oechslin’s watches:

Background

In 2014, ochs und junior launched its first photorealistic watch customizer. The tool was enthusiastically-received by the editors and readers of HODINKEE (Ochs Und Junior Online Customizer Brings Limitless Options To Life).

Customization at ochs und junior is a direct conversation between the client and cofounder of the company, Beat Weinmann. Its new customizer is designed to facilitate their dialogue. Through direct communication, the client can even order a watch with options outside the customizer.

ochs und junior was founded in 2006 in Lucerne and manufactures about 130 watches per year. It has 4 employees including Dr. Oechslin. Its website is designed and authored by employee Cail Pearce. Pearce worked on the design team for Google in Silicon Valley before joining ochs und junior in 2012.
