Official press release.

Lucerne, SWITZERLAND — Rolls-Royce selected ochs und junior to be a New Phantom Experience during the New Phantom press launch October 2nd-14th in Vitznau, Switzerland.

New Phantom Experiences are described by Rolls-Royce as a “bespoke showcase of modern luxury experiences…carefully chosen to represent the best that this region of Switzerland has to offer.”

Journalists who drive the New Phantom to ochs und junior’s Lucerne workshop during the press launch will assemble a perpetual calendar.

Of ochs und junior, Rolls-Royce said:

Nowhere is the Swiss flair for innovative watchmaking more evident than during a visit to the Lucerne workshop of ochs und junior, founded in 2006 by watch industry legend Dr. Ludwig Oechslin and expert Beat Weinmann…the brand is redefining modern luxury with entirely bespoke timepieces.

Spirit of Ecstasy.

Ludwig Oechslin was fascinated by Charles Sykes’ sculpture Spirit of Ecstasy, which graces the front of Rolls-Royce automobiles. He thought it alluded to the dynamism of the sun. So he fitted the sculpture to a clock base which rotates once in 24 hours, so that the sculpture always flies in the direction of the sun. This object is pictured above.

No paid associations.

ochs und junior does not make paid associations, advertise or sponsor events.
